Program Evaluation Assistant
Position Classification: 4
This part-time position will provide support to the Kindergarten Readiness program director and contract evaluator in coordinating various components of the Kindergarten Readiness evaluation project. This project will examine the relationship between community-based early care and education services and the school readiness skills of students from low-income neighborhoods. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, strong organizational, communication and computer skills (MS Office, database applications, etc.).

POSITION FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writin
  • Ability to initiate, organize and follow through on tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time

The program evaluation assistant will:

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with Kindergarten Readiness Providers that sustain interest and active participation in the study and a commitment to the integrity of the data collection process
  • Work with evaluation consultant and Forth Worth ISD representative(s) to meet project requirement
  • Coordinate development, distribution and collection of parental permission forms for children’s participation in FWISD evaluation study
  • Data collection and data entry
  • Other duties as assigned

Marketing Assistant
Camp Fire USA has an opening for a part-time Marketing Assistant. Qualified candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in Marketing or related field. Requires strong organizational, communication and computer skills (proficient in Mircrosoft Word, Excel, Power Point and working knowledge of Adobe programs). Assistant will handle a range of administrative tasks and special projects to support the VP of Marketing.

After School and Child Development Programs
Multiple FT/PT positions for after school and child development programs:
Site Manager/Lead Teacher $10-$12 hourly, Program Specialists/teachers $8-$9 hourly; benefits available for some positions. Professional child care experience preferred.

Camptivity Day Camp Counselors (seasonal position)
We are currently interviewing for Counselors for our Camptivity Day Camp Summer Program. Camp runs for 11 weeks, Monday-Friday, June 9 through August 22. Staff Training will be May 27 and 29 from 5pm-8pm each day and June 2 and 3 from 10am-5pm each day and June 4 from 9am-5pm.

PURPOSE: 

  • To help plan and carry out a positive experience for each camper in his or her group
  • To help provide a quality day camp which allows each camper to participate in a program that is fun and educational, emphasizing new knowledge and skills
  • To provide instruction in a variety of activities and sharing any special talents

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Positive attitude concerning children, day camp and Camp Fire
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • High moral character and integrity
  • Ability to handle pressure
  • Leadership ability and able to work with youth
  • Previous day camp experience helpful

  • To help provide a quality day camp which allows each camper to participate in a program that is fun and educational, emphasizing new knowledge and skills
  • To provide instruction in a variety of activities and sharing any special talents

    QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Positive attitude concerning children, day camp and Camp Fire
  • High moral character and integrity
  • Ability to handle pressure
  • Leadership ability and able to work with youth
  • Previous day camp experience

 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assume leadership and guidance of campers and staff working in Youth Adventure Program
  • Instruct and support activities
  • Participate in general planning of camp program
  • Assume primary leadership for group
  • Supervise counselor assistants when they are acting in a secondary leadership role
  • Maintain health and safety of campers in group
  • Carry out procedural responsibilities within day camp (i.e. clean-up, paperwork, etc.)
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Maintain safe environment by adhering to standards
  • Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness or injury)
  • Must possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers
